Match the artwork to the construction

Enamel uses separate solid-color areas divided by metal. For gradients or printed full-color details, compare offset printing. Die struck pins form the artwork in raised and recessed metal without color fill.

Review lettering and small details at the intended pin size. If the design includes internal cutouts, check that the selected construction and size offer that option; offset printed pins do not support internal hollow-out areas.

Choose the size and finishing details together

Available sizes, plating, fixings, packaging and design extras vary by construction. Check the options offered for the selected pin instead of carrying a choice over from another style.

Acrylic and flashing acrylic have their own fixing choices. A keychain attachment uses a blank back without a pin fixing.

Some constructions have a fixed format

The epoxy-pin format is a circular 0.83-inch pin with a 20 mm printing area and butterfly fixing. Plan the artwork for that format, then confirm the offered configuration.

Compare offset printing for another full-color metal construction or acrylic for a printed pin with a white plastic back.
